Sarah K. Wolin has had extensive experience with retail leasing, sale-leaseback transactions, master leases, portfolio acquisitions, environmentally impacted properties, 1031 exchanges, and a wide variety of real estate finance transactions. Her transactional experience includes working with middle-market to investment grade credits, operating a wide range of retail establishments such as restaurants, convenience stores, movie theaters, grocery stores, drug stores, sporting goods stores, health clubs, medical offices, general merchandise stores, automotive parts/service stores, car washes and specialized medical facilities.

Ms. Wolin served as head in-house Real Estate Counsel and Vice President of Closing at Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. (NYSE: SRC), a $9+ Billion single tenant, triple-net REIT, managed acquisitions and dispositions of over $3 billion in more than 300 transactions involving leases with over 160 tenants and over 750 properties across the United States

Ms. Wolin served as head in-house Real Estate Counsel and Vice President of Closing at Spirit Realty Capital, Inc. (NYSE: SRC), a $9+ Billion single tenant, triple-net REIT. During her four years at SRC, she played a vital role in every transaction that grew SRC’s portfolio from approximately 900 to over 2,600 properties and transformed the company from a private to an investment-grade publicly traded REIT, including the following:

  • +$2 Billion in Acquisitions in +200 transactions involving leases with +160 tenants
  • +$1 Billion in Dispositions in +100 transactions
  • $3.7 billion merger of Spirit Realty Capital and Cole Credit Property Trust II
  • $330 million note issuance under a net-lease mortgage securitization platform

Ms. Wolin also directed legal matters for SRC’s portfolio management department including leasing, construction, easements and condemnations. On the operational side, she headed the closing department, established and managed compliance of the company’s environmental risk policies and environmental insurance program and was responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s property and liability insurance policies.

Ms. Wolin was an associate at Fennemore Craig and Rose Law Group. Before pursuing her career in real estate, she worked as an environmental consultant and conducted scientific research in the field of oceanography at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her scientific training informs her analysis of environmentally impacted real estate.

Ms. Wolin is licensed to practice and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and California.
